UPSC announces IES and ISS written examination results 2011

New Delhi: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has declared the results of written examination for Indian Economic Service and Indian Statistical Service, 2011. Interview of candidates who have qualified for the Personality Test is likely to commence from 25th June, 2012, but the exact date of interview will be intimated to the candidates through interview letter. Roll Number wise interview schedule will also be made available on Commission's website.


In accordance with the Rules of examination all these candidates are required to fill up the Detailed Application Forms (DAF) which will be available on the Commission`s Website from 01-06-2012. All the qualified candidates are required to fill up the Detailed Application Form (DAF) and Summary Sheet and submit the same ON LINE.

The Detailed Application Form (DAF) will be available on the website of the Commission till 12.06.2012. Important instructions regarding filling up of the Detailed Application Form (DAF) submitting the same ONLINE to the Commission are also available on the website. The candidates who have been declared successful have to first get themselves registered on the relevant page of the website before filling up the ONLINE Detailed Application Form.

The qualified candidates are further advised to refer to the Rules of the Indian Economic Service/ Indian Statistical Service Examination, 2011, published in the Gazette of India, dated 30.07.2011, which is also available on the Website of the Commission. It is also instructed that after submitting the Detailed Application Form (DAF) duly filled in ONLINE, the candidates are required to take out a print out of the finally submitted Detailed Application Form (DAF) separately and will have to send the printed copy of the Detailed Application Form (DAF) duly signed by the candidate along with all relevant documents to the Under Secretary (IES/ISS), Union Public Service Commission, Dholpur House, Shahjahan Road, New Delhi-110069, so as to reach the Commission`s Office latest by 15.06.2012. The envelope containing the print out of the Detailed Application Form (DAF) submitted ONLINE should be super scribed "DAF for Indian Economic Service/ Indian Statistical Service Examination, 2011". It can also be delivered at UPSC by hand till 15.06.2012 till 5.00 PM.

The marks-sheets of candidates, who have not qualified, will be put on the Commission`s Website within 15 days from the date of publication of the final result (after conducting Personality Test) and will remain available on the Website for a period of 60 days.

Union Public Service Commission has a Facilitation Counter at its campus. Candidate may obtain any information/clarification regarding their examination/result on working days between 10.00 AM to 5.00 PM in person or over telephone Nos. (011)-23385271/23381125/23098543 from this counter.

Kerala University Examination Result Of B.A II Year Part-I, Part-II & B.Sc II Year

The University of Kerala, formerly the University of Travancore, is an affiliating university located in Thiruvananthapuram in Kerala, India. It was established in 1937, long before the birth of the state of Kerala in India. The University of Travancore which eventually became the University of Kerala was established in 1937 by a promulgation of the Maharaja of Travancore, Sri Chithira Thirunal Balarama Varma who was also the first Chancellor of the University. Sir C. P Ramaswamy Ayyar, the then Diwan of the State, was the first Vice-Chancellor. It was the sixteenth University to be set up in India and ten Colleges within the State of Travancore which were affiliated to the Madras University became the affiliated colleges of the University of Travancore. It ranks among the top Universities in India.

In 1957, the Kerala University Act, Act 14 of 1957, was brought into force and the University of Travancore was renamed University of Kerala. The University had three campuses located in three different parts of the State viz. Thiruvananthapuram, Ernakulam and Kozhikode. In 1968, the University Centre at Kozhikode became a full-fledged University covering the Colleges and Departments located in Thrissur, Palakkad, Kozhikode and KannurDistricts of Kerala. The Cochin University of Science and Technology and the Kerala Agricultural University were set up in 1971 and in 1983, theMahatma Gandhi University was established. With the establishment of these Universities, the area of the jurisdiction of the University of Kerala has been limited to Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Alappuzha Districts and some parts of Pathanamthitta District.

The university has sixteen faculties and forty-one departments of teaching and research. There are eighty-one affiliated colleges. Of these forty, five are aided first grade Arts and Science Colleges, eight are unaided first grade Arts and Science Colleges, two are law Colleges, four Engineering Colleges, two Medical Colleges, seven aided Teachers Training Colleges, six unaided Teachers Training Colleges, one Ayurveda College, on Homeopathy College, two Fine Arts Colleges, one Music College and one College of Physical Education. Besides this, there is an affiliated institute conducting 2-year full time MBA course. The University has recently started an Engineering College in its Kariavattom campus.

The University has over 150 affiliated colleges. The role of the University is in prescribing courses of study and conducting examinations and issuing certificates. The day-to-day administration of these institutions is not under the purview of the University. However, these institutions form a major part of the University. Of these 60 are Arts and Science colleges. There are 2 Law colleges, 17 Engineering Colleges, 9 MBA/MCA Colleges, 37 Teacher Training Colleges, 4 Medical Colleges, 4 Ayurveda colleges, 2 Homeopathy Colleges, one Siddha Medical College, 3 Dental colleges, 10 Nursing Colleges, 4 Pharmacy Colleges, 2 Fine Arts Colleges, and a Music College. The University also has a National College of Physical Education affiliated to it. The total number of students in these colleges crosses 84,000.
